Dr. Lyanne Alicea is a board-certified chiropractor, born and raised in the picturesque town of Arecibo, Puerto Rico. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the InterAmerican University of Puerto Rico in 2014. Her passion for chiropractic care was ignited after shadowing a family member and discovering the profound benefits of alternative medicine. This experience led her to pursue her calling in chiropractic care, prompting a move to New York, where she graduated from Northeast College of Health Sciences (formerly known as New York Chiropractic College) in August 2020, during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic. She expanded her expertise at McMaster University by completing the Contemporary Medical Acupuncture program in April 2024. Dr. Alicea is passionate about the unique, patient-centered care that chiropractic provides, a type of care that stands apart from other medical practices. She deeply values the connections she forms with her patients, taking great pleasure in educating them about the benefits of chiropractic care and guiding them on their journey to better health. Utilizing a range of techniques tailored to meet her patients' specific needs, Dr. Alicea employs Spinal Manipulation, Myofascial Trigger Point Therapy, Instrument Assisted Spinal Manipulation, Rehabilitation Exercises, and Neurofunctional Acupuncture. Fluent in both Spanish and English, Dr. Lyanne Alicea is eager to meet and assist you on your path to wellness.
